Learn upholstery techniques as you learn to work on your own projects.
Service Description
During this six-week upholstery course you will learn a variety of upholstery skills and techniques as you work to complete your own project. Some of the skills you will learn include how to strip down, repair/refinish frame and woodwork, re-web, replace seat pad traditionally with coir and horsehair or modern foams, hand sewing, tying in springs, measuring and cutting fabric, finish off with braid, piping or studs. The workshop offers a teaching space for up to six workbenches with a full set of upholstery tools and an airline staple gun. Sundries and materials can be purchased in class at an additional price of the course. Our workshop is based in the grounds of the beautiful Llwyn-y-maen estate on the outskirts of Oswestry and has ample parking. Please wear footwear with a thick or solid sole as you are likely to step on tacks and staples!

Cancellation Policy
BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS All courses must have a paid deposit for your place to be reserved. We hope you won’t need to cancel but if you do, our cancellation policy is as follows; 1) Cancellations made not later than 28 days in advance of the start date - will be refunded. 2) Cancellations made between 28 days and 14 days in advance of the start date will be refunded at 50% of the course fee. We will endeavour to resell your place and if successful, will reimburse your fee minus an admin fee of 20%. 3) Cancellations made 14 days in advance of the start date – we regret that we are unable to refund your course fees. If we are able to resell your place we will reimburse your fee minus an admin fee of 20%. Payments must be made in full for late bookings (made 7 days or less in advance of the start date) and in the event of cancellation, conditions 2 and 3 will apply. Bookings made after 14 days in advance of the start date are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Day's Upholstery School reserves the right to withdraw, suspend or discontinue courses. Days Upholstery School also reserves the right to rearrange course dates or days or to arrange appropriate alternative teaching for the courses where desired. If courses are cancelled prior to the course start date, a full refund of fees will be made. If courses are discontinued by Days Upholstery School once begun, a pro rata refund or credit will normally be made, with an adjustment for any course dates delivered and goods or materials supplied. If discontinued by the student, any refund or credit will be solely at the discretion of Days Upholstery School. Days Upholstery School cannot be responsible for students’ personal possessions. Whilst we endeavour to take great care, we cannot accept responsibility for losses or damage to furniture or fabric. Students who arrange to store things at our workshop do so at their own risk. Any photographs taken during the courses will remain the copyright of Days Upholstery School.
